Purple spots echo my eyes
Steel rimmed and bleeding
Gentle sweet surcease searching
For intangible endorphic rush
Obsessively dialing
Obsessively dialing
Thumb leaving skin on
Redail button
'We're sorry. The call you placed cannot be completed as dialed. Please check your number and try again.'
Hotwired in my deep
Cerebral etchings
Sweet surcease
Has up and gone
Endorphin superceded by
Acetylsalicylic mistress
And still my eyes bleed

What a piece! You forced a memory out of me I had long forgotten!  How powerful poetry is, to bring back to the fore all that is forgot!

Ali...super job!  Thank you!
