From One Alone

You came into my life and brought so much to me;
Love, fulfillment, and the height of ecstacy;
Faithfulness; yet utter blank despair
That you could hold aloof...and yet could care.
Across the years you came, and deep within your eyes
Showed to me a love that never dies,
But lives, in its completeness, without the loved one;
Feeding itself upon its dreams, till life is spent and
Time is done.
While I, with empty hands and aching heart must be
Alone, in full awareness of the love you bear for me---
Starving for the shelter of your arms; enslaved
of dread
Lest fate...smiling at futility...should snap
her Golden Thread.

Well as usual beautiful Rex, but you're not alone anymore now are you?  Hope not!  Ode to the cowboy's winsome heart!! :D
