listen

when he receives you
in all his wintering
with flight of your

all stormy and frosted
there it resides
within you dying
and its face rests
under your lids
closed

step your step
on new land, as if it
were coals aflame

She indeed parts
  the waves
     more
  opening hearts
this ocean maid
of the summers sigh

yet winter winds
  show clear
each life stark
   undenying
    horizon

no words could coax
  stanzas adoration
   would never enthrall
nor voice of reassurance
    ever propel
     her journey
      so far

from within
    there only
      her heart
       judges

no safer place
   resides
    before
all that is

  a tiny gift
   her peace
     tranquil
      sweet

   Forsworn
  only to give
    protect
     cherish

    ocean maid
     in summer
       winters
        light
     her pathway
