Deep within night's dismal hour
A forlorn soul does hunt and scour
Likened minds he can devour
Bartered heart to sell

Exchanging hasty words of passion
Unsubstantial admiration
Metaphysical affection
Peddled fairy tale

A quest for love that's palpable
And yearning for what's tangible
Yet, always unattainable
His search destined to fail

Unmindful of her secret want
His egocentric ignorance
Solitary insouciance
His love, always, for sale

How easy some give love for a price. Always wanting something in return. But true love is given unconditionaly.
