A cold night spent alone
Still wondering why
If the emotion is gone
Just please say goodbye,
You've left it open
And you've walked away
Turned your back
Without a word to say.
The thought of me
Is least in your mind
But don't drag this on
For any length of time,
Give me an answer
So I can move on
Since this deteriorated
Going horribly wrong
I send you my thoughts
To let you know it's there
But you shrug them off
As if you don't even care.
Days go by for me
Without a word
To let you hurt me like this
Is completely absurd
No explanation to me
Just an offline frown
These last few days
I've felt so down,
However I must rebound
For it is not recipricated
You see for love to work
Two must have participated
I guess I'll walk away
And be the better one
What was this to you
Just some sort of sick fun?
As life goes on
I'm learning faster and faster
Letting your heart go
Is just a standard disaster

This just off the top of my head, take it at face value.

Hmmm... a touching poem.  A lot of emotion wrapped into this... sadness, anger, hurt, love, hate.  You've written it well Jeremy   Hope you're okay.  Take care!

Jeremy...

I decided to check out your work after i recieved a reply from you.  And I suppose i'm opposite from you, I tend to like freeverse style.  But When i read this one... I was write there with you.  I'm dealing with something along those lines.

To be able to bow out gracefully... that is the decision (and easier said than done)

Jeremy,
I know how the unknown can wreak such havoc on your heart... I hope you find your answers. Great piece!
