Testament

To you alone, I give
Those intangible,
Inexpressable emotions
That a heart may hold;
The extremity of faith;
The calmness of trust;
The beneficent beauty of understanding,
And the tenderness of love.
Small bits of broken laughter,
And the faint, shy whisper of appeal.
The unfathomable deeps of desire,
And the quietude of peace.
Yet these I may not offer
Untinged with silent grief,
For mingling there
With beauty, hope and dreams,
Is sorrow.
The shadow of her bitterness lies deep,
And my needs must give to you
Her tears as well.

Enchantingly beautiful! Well versed, reads off classical, soft and melodious. Love it.

With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free..
