I look for love
But I get used
I search for peace
And get abused
There's one thing now
That is so clear
No one wants
To keep me near

I find myself
So worn and tired
And my heart
So uninspired
With no love
That I can see
Because there's no one
Meant for me

With no more strength
Now left to fight
My will has vanished
From my sight
I can not take this
One more day
So in this world
I will not stay

Now when you see
My empty stare
Know that I
No longer care
For the flame was snuffed out
Of my soul
When my heart was cast
In the black hole

I hate this world
I now confide
'Cause no one cares
For tears I've cried
With no more words
Now left to tell
I bid you all
To go to hell

Hey G !!!!! I liked this one.  Reminds me alot of myself though.  People tell me my stare has nothing behind it.  I would tell ya that time heals but I havent gotten to that point either.  Lean on me if ya need!!

Nice write,

There are daze when this hits so home for me also.
I just want to bite, rip and strip bone.
but then there are other dazes...
great way of putting it.

I love the poem, and don't worry, we won't take it personally. Unless it's meant for one of us? Nah. N/m

I have to say I really liked the ending to this one! It kind of came as a surprise.. the first part sounding so apathetic and depressed.. I liked the attitude you showed at the end.    Great write!!!

WOW!!! And here I thought that nobody was going to like this piece. As a matter of fact, I thought it would be booted due to a certain reference that is in this piece. But it didn't, so that's cool!

I'm sorry to hear that so many of you feel (or have felt) the same way I do. I guess it's nice to know that I'm not alone. I'M FEELING MUCH BETTER NOW...LOL!!!

But seriously folks, thank you so much for your comments. My e-mail is open to anybody who wants to talk, for I know where you'll be coming from. Thanks again! Take care all!!!

"I look for love but I get abused."   This has kindof been the story of my life for the past few years,  abused, used, lied to, deceived.   But thats not the end of the story...I believe that I have found an honest woman...or did she find me...a woman that cares for me..so different from all the rest...we shall see...James

Kick ASS!

Now that is what I a bitter slap! HA! I love it! (Mostly because I know what it's like to be where you are...I'm there right now).   Your poem reminds me of the quote, "When life turns it's back on you, stand up and kick it in the ass."

Seems like you're doing just that. ;-)

Take care!

Ah, so much anger! Wrote many pieces much the same as this, brought me back to all the darkness I have had to overcome to be the person I am today. Get it out, my friend, get it all out!
BTW, I like the poweful, in your face at the end, too.

With the word, I am mighty, with the pen I am free..

This is fantasic, i read it over and over and interpreted it into my own experiences, interpretation is such a wonderful thing!! I hope that whatever darkness inside inspired this is becoming lighter!! Love K.

Oh man! I had no idea that this piece was going to strike such a cord in everybody. I'm glad you all liked it and am sorry that you feel the same way. I thank you all for your kind words and support and offer mine in return. Time doesn't always heal, but it dose lessen the pain. Take care all and thanks again!
