Drizzle in the night,
Rain falling in mists so slight,
Hiding all the starlight,
Except for in your eyes.
Drizzles carry on,
The moon could well be gone,
Carried still within our song,
And the melody still flies.
Raindrops falling down,
A crescent moon in your frown,
Eyes cast toward the ground,
As words reach to you;
Sorry starry night,
Shines without its light,
Burning hiding from sight,
There’s nothing we can do.

Then she goes,
Wondering off into gray,
In the night,
From his sight,
Knowing words he could not say
While near her,
Feeling fear
As it binds his heart tightly,
Vital part,
Aching heart,
Emotions burning brightly.
There she goes,
Leaving him with just the gray.

Gloom

thy words, whether in darkness, daylight or times of gray...always share thy depth of thought...

This really is a lovely poem...with such an ache of melancholy...listening to Moby's 'Inside' while reading it really suits the poem lol...

Lovely words indeed.
Seems most ppl do not bother to see the beauty as you do...

Very nice. Well chosen words make beautiful imagery here, Gloom.

This was amazing Gloom. Very very good. I liked it a lot.

Aching, sweet, and turning... thank you, Gloom. This touched a lighted finger to the melancholy romanticist quality I claim to sheathe. Be Well.
