Trapped within my world
High above the blue, clear dome
Of heaven am I.

From below my thoughts
Reach to the realm of heaven
Arms and hands outstretched.

Nothing but the wings
Of pure and holy angels
Can carry me there.

To the golden gates
And back again to my world
Is the ultimate
Sacrifice from Him
As a gift of freedom's dreams
To us He does send.

Accept and forgive
For this is how we must live
And how we must love.

Another experiment...

I really like this piece. Great religious descriptions, and very interesting style. Thanks for sharing.

I love haiku. These were all extremely good. But the last one was freaking awesome!

It's always good to test your skills in other forms of poetry. I liked this one Leah. Well done here!
