He walked by his sisters room
Inside he heard her cry.
She was on the phone with a friend-
Saying she wished she would die.

Later on he soon found out
her and her boyfriend had been in a fight.
She had been raped by her best friends brother,
Her boyfriend blamed her - it just wasn't right.

suddenly he heard her cry out in pain -
He quickly opened the door
and walked into the room
To find her laying bleeding on the floor.

He called for their mom
and ran out of the room
picked up the phone and dialed 911
He managed to keep calm thru certain doom.

He walked into her new room-
she was laying in the hospital bed.
he looked into her eyes,
but not a word he said.

She smiled at him
with tears in her eyes
"thank you dear brother,
You're my angel in disguise"

it's been a long night--I can't sleep, and this is what resulted...this and 2 other poems.

I enjoyed this poem because although the woman tried to comit an act of shear stupidity this poem glorifies LIFE. The brother saves his sister and she thanks him for that, and thus it simply says that LIFE is GOOD.
I enjoyed this poem greatly.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Stace, girl, this is so good. It makes you think about who is your angel in disguise. Keep it up!

Impressive.  Always gotta love those late night poems that come out in that time.  Good work here.
