Don't Let Me Down

staring out my window
dark, ominous clouds
thunder, lightning eveywhere
rain pouring down

pounding loudly on the roof
a single violent sound
lighting splitting up the sky
trees, by wind, bent down

and then it happened...

the clouds began to part
sun shone brightly on me now
in the sky the fading rain
paints a brilliant rainbow down

the storm is finally over
and I no longer frown
though I smile wide, I think--
please don’t let me down

This was very nice. I liked the imagery alot also. Very descriptive and colorful. It's been awhile since I've seen you around, good to see you back.
