It's so true what they say about being in love
Feels like you're lifted above everyone and your feet cannot touch the ground
Never wanting to come down
Back down to the place where your feelings are solid
And it's so much easier to deal with the here-and-now instead of dreaming about the rest of your life
But your simple, sweet words can make everything seem okay
Make me forget about a bad day and just want to stay right where you are
I would rather do nothing with you, than something without you
I know it when it's real because I can definitely feel the empty, dull ache in my insides
The ache of being unsure
And when I am trying to reminisce and remember the last time I felt like this...I try, but I can't
Don't think I ever have felt like this before
I hate knowing that I care more about you
Want to be with you more
That you can live without me
Not that I can't live without you
I just don't want to have to...
Not even for a day.
So, we're off to a rocky start
How could it ever work?
Sitting here wondering if there will be more happiness than hurt
Maybe another guy wouldn't bounce my heart around and push it inside-out like silly putty
But...maybe no other guy could stretch it to its limits and make it bounce as high
What if there really is no security? No, there's no trust
Just weakness in my knees upon your slightest touch
The brush of your lips across my forehead could not be more beautiful if it came from an angel...
I wonder if you think about me half as much as I think about you
Hope that you do
And that we're on the same wavelength,
Because if your thoughts were opposite, but equally as powerful, they would knock me off my feet
(First sign of defeat)
Sometimes I want to wish everything away so I would never feel the pain when I hear you said that today just isn't a good day...
I always want to be with you
Maybe if I was sure that your heart was in it like mine,
it all wouldn't be nearly as exciting and I would've given up long ago
Or maybe I just like to pretend to be in love
And all I really care about is the shape of your lips

"No person is worth your tears and the only one who is will never make you cry"

Hmmmmmmm you reign your feeling of love throughout the poem but at the end LUST pulls through.
Who knows the answer to the ending question, nobody but you.
I enjoyed this poem very much.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
