Normally as I reminisce about my life
I can think only about the bad things
As if all of my fun times never happened
As if all the good memories have been lost
But I have found a place
Deep within myself
A place that I can only go to
When I am away from everyone
A place where my broken heart mends
Where my scared soul heals
And the pain fades away
A place where I can be myself
Where I can smile and laugh
And the only tears falling
Are those of happiness

No one can disturb me here
No matter how hard they try
But each and every time I leave
It gets harder to say goodbye

*~*Amanda*~*

My tears roll right down my cheeks, but they all soak into my pillow.  I feel kinda sorry for it...

This is a good one.  I know how you feel about the harsh life thing.  Well, at least as far as school was concnerned.

You did misspell a few words, like reminisce, wrong.

However, on the whole, this was a good poem.  That twist at the end was quite well done.

This was very good altogether... the place deep within yourself was a neat concept.
I hope you keep your head high, write when you are in that state of mind and share with us always.
Great work here.

Well done on this one. I felt the sadness here. Very emotional poem.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
