You say Food will be on the table And birds will fly in the sky But why am I hungry And why's it cloudy outside? You say I'll have a bed to sleep in And a pillow for my head But why am I so tired And why's the floor a bed? You say I'll have a pen and paper To write down every thought But every thought that comes to me You tell me it is not. You say Life is like an easy path And the difficult path is death But why have I come to a fork in the road And why am I lacking in breath? I die with every thought I've had And every lie you've told me So why am I the one lying here When it's you who really should be. |

the flow was nice...and the meaning behind the meaning behind the poem was real...i liked the poem overall...thanks for sharing it with us...  ...?if i die before i wake , i pray the lord my soul will take-"when thugs cry" |
