I wrote this one a while ago, but I lost it under my bed until last night *LOL* So, here it is!

I have this box of memories,
some are good and some are bad.
But this box is never opened,
for its contents make me sad.

Pictures, notes, and trinkets,
old poems, given and reclaimed,
cards and movie ticket stubs...
remnants of old flames.

Although the past is over,
and I’ve learned to carry on,
memories of past loves remain,
though the love itself is gone.

This was really good because it flowed so well, and it had a really good meaning to it.  I like the way you said so much in just a few stanzas.  Good work!

*LMAO*@Javi... Haha! Sorry hun, a trinket is 1. a small ornament, such as a piece of jewelry, or 2. a trivial thing, a trifle... I use it as meaning 2, something of little ACTUAL significance or value... but to me, it DOES have value... get it? Good!!

it's never wrong to look back in life and think of those sweet or not so sweet memories. And yes, i don't know what a trinket is too

Liked the poem.
HaHa- I thought I was the only one who lost things in the wreckage that is known as my bedroom- ECSPECIALLY under my bed. HaHa.

Anyway- Like I said- Good poem. Something I can relate to. I think I have kept every note ever passed my direction. I LOVE going back and reading them...It reminds me of who I liked and so on. HaHa...
