“Down to pray” Binding words From borrowed memories Leave me feeling like a phantom Merely glancing about the ways of the living Love and hate Justice and mercy Strength and weakness Seeking peace and seeking war Many things these people feel I try to search within myself To find these things as well But it comes to no avail Life and death Freedom and slavery Ignorance and knowledge The ability to give and the ability to take Knowing I feel nothing That those I walk around can feel Wondering about these that I cannot know These things long since gone hold such appeal Sorrow and joy Courage and fear Goodness and evil Our Destiny and our fate I fail to grasp unto these things Normal people seem do so easily What must I do to recapture these ways All that I can seem to do now is to bow down and pray It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that. |

This is really amazing! We all feel this confusion at times...it is just a part of life! Just remember when you are searching or when you doubt, God is true and trustworthy. beautifully written, i liket his piece a lot. i think my favorite part was the last stanza, but it's hard to take it apart like that so i will just say great job Sometimes, the things that go unsaid are the only things worth hearing. |
