taken in a blink of my eye
her life just snuffed out
no longer there to hold my hand
to tuck me in and kiss my brow
to wake me up by tickling me
no more watching old black&white movies together
no more just talking about nothing in particular
no more laughing at the same places
no more you
i miss you
i love you

This is a good poem, it had very real feelings coming out of it.  Thank you for sharing this!

I'm so sorry that your mother isn't around anymore, but I'm sure that she's proud of the writer that you have become. This is a beautiful tribute to her, thanks for sharing.

Oh my... this is so sad   But, no matter what, your mother will always be with you no matter where you are, smiling and watching down over you-- after all, her love still lives   nice poem!

This piece was very heartfelt.  I enjoyed this piece, but it probably affected me in a different way.  Keep writing though.

Very sad poem. It really did show me a true gratitude for having what I have....this being a mother. I really do offer my condolences....I enjoyed the poem very much.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

You just made me cry
I'm a mama's boy and I love my mom so much
This makes me wonder how you can cope with her loss
geez...im really teary eyed
