My tribute to all those years of Greek mythology. Critique? Please?

i am this power of transformation:
a flash of pale ankle, the curve of a wrist,
then wings, black-tipped, or sharp teeth.
they watch me with burned eyes like two coals.
at night they sit on the floor by my bed,
staring at my dream-tossed self.
my nightmares are full of bristles,
of rooting snouts and ivory tusks
and fire and blood: ruin. and
sometimes a vision of a tapestry, unravelling,
and a sad-eyed woman in an empty room.
by dawn the sea is smoldering.
i gather fallen pears, rotted figs.
what cavern, sun-edged sky,
could be worth my longing,
that siren song echoing in me like fire?
i think i will show no mercy.
i think i will keep them here forever.

circe always had a kind of mystique about her; she was definitely one of the most interesting characters in the odyssey. i thought this was well done, especially  "my nightmares are full of bristles,
of rooting snouts and ivory tusks
and fire and blood: ruin"

Ohhhh I enjoyed this tons...whoa...Well one thing...in the beginning, you have this whole power deal, and it continues with that tone (from the way I interpreted it, anyway) throughout, but the I's aren't capitalized..I think if you want to create a better effect you should capitalize the I's. Just my little brain barely at work.

WOO! *mythology nut right here!*

I really loved this piece. Circe was one of the most interesting characters in mythology, and this is a great description of her personality. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE your allusions.  I, too, have suffered Greek Mythology and i think everyone should fall in love with it at some point.  Like i said, terrific allusions; there's such richness here.

Great work!  Can't offer many critiques, but I do agree with Carly that you should capitalize the Is.
I enjoyed this read, good use of imagery and description of events.

This was great! I really liked this one. You display raw talent here.
