Who said that things can't be great?
I was a believer, but now my eyes are open.
For once in my life, I can see, and what I see is truly beautiful.
My life used to be full of disappointments,
But now, my only disappointment is that I didn't realise this sooner.
That life is a gift, a truly wonderful gift that must not be wasted.
For like all gifts, one day you will lose it.

But whilst I have it, let it be known,
That every second, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
Was worth it, because for every bad hour there is a good second.
And it is these few seconds, which make life worthwhile.
These precious moments, we forget to get caught up in.
We are too 'old' or too embarrassed to enjoy.  Don't waste them.
Don't let other peoples thoughts steal these moments from you.

Because they are the sunlight and the morning dew.
They are the silver lining after the storm.
They are the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Smile.
Laugh.
Dance.
Cry.
Enjoy your life, it's the best gift you'll ever receive…

Hmm... this one got me thinking.
Indeed there are many people who grow up entirely too fast, don't take the time to enjoy the things around them quite as much as they should.
It's because it's so difficult to retain your childishness and still appear respectable.  I personally took this poem quite seriously, maybe I should loosen up a bit, once in a while.
I like the formatting of this one, it was quite simple but the last stanza worked nicely with the four single words approaching the end.
Nice work.

If there was ever a piece that was created for people to instantly connect with, this is it!!

Wonderfully written and this has truly inspired me to go off and write something.

Thanks for the read.

This is neat, something new with form.  I think it compliments your other work as well.  Keep posting!

Unfortunately I grew up so fast without wanting too. It all happened against my will and I tried to latch onto my childhood and kiddy ways as much as possible. I still do.....I fear getting more mature....usually the process is brutal on my soul.
Anyhow, nicely done.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
