Expectations bounce
Off clouded skies
Falling downward
Shattering like glass
On a concrete heart

This is very interesting for the syllable scheme... it reminded me of Tanka, but with different syllable scheme to it.  Very creative of you to come up with something like this.

Build a man a fire, and he's warm for a day.  Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

i like both the pieces i've read by you, they are both quite creative and this one creates a really nice image.  keep posting all your work.

I liked this one a lot!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I didnt really know if I understood it, but I think I might.  Do you mean that people expect too much of you?  If so, I think a lot of teens know how you feel, so your not alone.
