here ya go...
Boredom  + time = 2 senyrus

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This note, I still bend
My guitar, my only friend
This, my lonely end
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
there is no ending,
crying in the arms of guilt,
to this defriending
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes I know, "defriending" is not a word.... oh well
And despite what these senyrus imply I am happy   <-see
"Just be honest!" - Jay, these are great. Light reading and good to see that smiley face tells us you are happy. I was afraid I was going to have to bring out some strippers or something to make you dance around with a monkey.
Defriending needs to be made a word. Write to the Oxford people and ask for their opinion.
I love the mathematical equation as a forethought.  Here's another.
Boredom + a lifetime = many many senryus
Boredom + a lifetime + talent = Mr Riverwood
And yeah, I write a whole heap of senryus.
I really like these, Jay.  They rhymed... which I like every now and then in senryus.  It adds a neat taste to the format.
Great work!
i liked the "crying in the arms of guilt" line in the second senru, i thought that was especially good.  bordom can occaisonally produce some good work and i like these two poems a lot.  keep posting all your work.
Oh, senryuus! Japanese poetry! They're very good - I like the rhyme scheme, and your word-inventing.
Cute Jay, very cute! And you'd better be happy...or I'll be forced to take drastic measures.
I'm pretty near to Oxford and my contacts there say that defriending will be in the next volume. Great poems, I really enjoyed the read.
