Although this doesn't have any major points of style whatsoever, I just feel like getting it out.

Vicious savage child race.
Needs a class to figure out
it own evolutionary role in the ecosystem,
Too stupid to figure out what their members are for.

Goes and persecutes anything moral and good
Every one of them is a beast from hell,
bent upon my own suffering and grief,
that race of savages is good for nothing.

I've never seen Satan before,
but I've seen countless members of his family.
If I find myself in hell,
I'll be sure to return the favour
by continuing, in spite of my own suffering,
to increase that of my enemy savage race.

And finally what discusts me most
is that I have to be one of em too.
Why can't I have been made a piece of dung,
or perhaps a dead skunk?

But a human!  The vilest thing there is!
Perhaps I should join the party and start some
genocides of my own.
I see no other good in being here.
Nobody cares.
Everybody kills,
everybody dies,
everybody spawns more of the little devils to start the process over again.

There, that felt better.

I didn't really mean any of it[in my heart anyway].  But do you ever feel like you just hate the human race, after a bad day or after thinking about a bad day?

I've never felt this way... I have too much love for the human race.  We give ourselves far too little credit, but seriously look around and tell me what we have created.
We, the humans, are on our way to creating the perfect planet.
For every acre of grass replaced with concrete pavement, I smile a bit more.     Truly, humanity was destined to create the ideal planet.

Allan:

I don't mean to sound offensive here, but...

ARE YOU INSANE???

Maybe I'm just depressed tonight, but IDEAL PLANET????  What you call the ideal planet is being hailed by tonnes of people as the rape of the natural world.  I'm not just talking about dope smoking tree huggers couped up in trees in BC.  I'm talking about scientists and sociologists.

This ideal planet is becoming more of an ideal slum.  However, I tend to view my love of the human race[like I said, I don't mean the words of this poem in my heart] comes from all the great works of thought that so many humans have created.  Many atheists provide the romantic dream of freedom from opressive powers, while many religionists provide the vision of a higher purpose of love and redemption for our entire race.

I would go on, but I think that to do so would be to need to move this portion of the thread into Philosophy.

i liked the the poem...

but i do think both of you guys are right to some extent...cause we live in a corrupted world i know.. but we did become a better realtion between the human race since the past..but that isnt the point the ideal world is still far away as what i see from the world..as our future is the teenagers and lot of them are becoming corrupted by this worlds influences also rape and injustice still lies and will go on i believe for a long time until someone come and takes the first step in disolving this...but no one seems to do that so..but we should look forward towards a ideal world of course...but it aint as simple in view as that...i should stop before this really goes to the philosophy thread..

...?

Great poem and you did wonderful on expressing this but I have to say that the farther we get from our natural state of being and the more we kill our planet to get to some idealistic view of what the human race can accomplish with the world and themselves the worse we get.

Good poem though.....

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I'm hardly a teenager anymore, Frac, and probably shouldn't be here, but I just couldn't resist the title. lol
Anyway, I liked the way you vented in the poem. This is sort of a "pre-postal" or "pre-school shooting" type anger, if you will, that needs to be shared and discussed. I'm not saying that I think you would do something like that, just that the anger is similar.
One of the downsides to the human race is that we are all basically selfish creatures who end up feeling like this at times. The upside is, if vented and facilitated properly, we are able to apply anger constructively to our problems.
In short, keep venting and writing, especially when you feel this way. I enjoy reading the thoughts of contemporary youth. From an "old man's" perspective and for what it's worth.
Good job.
