Our bodies beat as one
yet our hearts are so distant
there is pain and sorrow
in our old happiness
My love for you is true
the sky shines darkly against your soul
will you show me the way?

The steady beats of thunder
cannot equal the thud of my heart
it slips down a notch
lower, lower into the depths

Your eyes close, blocking away
all you feel
how can you love me, but not trust me?"

This sounds like a really tough situation, having someone block themselves from you this way. You describe this very vividly... a very good read. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful, the last thought.  You express a lot of frustration in this piece, I certainly hope that you are alright.

I been there Regi......doesn't make sense does it?
I enjoyed the poem.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.
