My soul…
once tarnished, tormented, and forgotten.
Always overflowing with,
Pain, hate, and sorrow.
Thus my soul was lost in the wreckage.
The wreckage of my beaten sanity.
Which was caused from the demons.
The demons that dance in my head,
Screaming and crying  his name.
The name of my forgotten father.
The father that left me in the cold.
In the cold to die.
To die alone with him no where in sight.
The father that I will forever hate.
Thus the demons tormented my soul.
Leaving me beaten and forgotten.
The demons only recognizing me.
No human or god could see the torture of my soul.
No one to turn to.
No where to run.
No where to hide.
I can no longer take this.
(screaming in the background)
"NEVERMORE!"
I shout out loud.
Everything stops.
I am able to get up and move freely.
I start searching.
Searching for my soul.
My soul was found.
Found among the wreckage
The wreckage of my battered sanity.
All that is left is to pick up the shattered pieces,
and wash away the remains.
Washing my tarnished soul in the rain.
The rain that falls from the heavens.
Maybe now God will be able to help me.

Excellent, Dana.  You absolutely rule.     Absolutely, is the manner in which you rule.  Your state of ruling is absolute.
Need I say more?
Oh and I liked the screaming in the background.  It hurt my ears.

This poem is so beautiful... I can't think of anything else to describe it.  You worded everything perfectly, and the flow was awesome.  This amazes me!  Nicely done, Dana.. very nicely done!

Great poem. I enjoyed it very much. It hit me....POW!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
