A friend,
What is a friend?
A person who will stick with you to the end,

Someone with whome you have fun,
Someone with a comfy shoulder,
Which you can cry upon,
Someone to make you laugh.

Someone to make you smile,
When you are down,
Someone to make you,
Learn never to frown.

And as you are a friend,
You will have to do these too,
To stick with them until the end,
And do the best you can do.

So tell me, who is a friend?
I'll tell you who!
Isn't it obvious?
It's YOU!

The way you've shown it in your poem, I guess Val is pretty special to you. it's nice to have friends like that.

I felt a finger pressed on my nose as you said "YOU." Haha

My critique = Third stanza, last two lines shouldn't be separated by a comma.
I like this one, it's something you'd see in a card. Great job.
