"The fingerprints of generations" This is a brilliant line because when you break it down and philosophically think about it everyones fingerprints are from generations of ancestors, who may be realted to you in some way!

This is an excellent poem with great meaning and I thoroughley enjoyed it!

Truly appreciative

Your poetry is simply beautiful!  I cant wait for the ending to this series.  I think that I would forget to conclude any series I started!  Hmmm...  Something to strengthen...  Thanks for the wonderful read!

I thought this completely rocked. VERY awesome! I loved the way you wrote this poem. Quite dif. from what I'm used to reading from you. I liked this a LOT!

I'll agree, this is completely awesome.  Just like the first... well no, not like the first, in fact quite different from the first but you know what I mean...

One thing that caught my eye was this-

"Tumble weeds full of worry tumbled on by
and the edge of the road disappeared
beneath the ever inching desert;
a silent slow growth that we never see coming."

I really like the tense you put the whole poem in, it complimented the whole work incredibly.  The last line of this stanza is interesting in that it sort of strays... but it's one of the more signifigant ones in that it gives the narrator a sense of still being.  The narrator makes a statement about humanity (or perhaps just a certain group of people) here, as a current state and not a past event.  Very creative, Marie!
Can't wait for the next one.
