“Angel of Mercy”

To end the pain
The ruin of our days
To the Angel of Mercy our souls do pray

When the end is near
And our lives are fading
This Angel comes, for our soul he is saving

To aid those in agony
To bring peace to tormented lives
Is for what he truly strives

Though he is seen as evil, the enemy of life
He is only here to guide us to our final resting place
Where we may know peace and true loving grace

It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that.

I've learned that even when you

This is a real brain-poker... I couldn't figure out who you were referring to in this poem.  Still, you wrote very well and actually got me thinking... good job, in this sense.

Very, very interesting...
I don't read about Death everyday so it was a nice change in things.

I had a dream once that I could fly and I laughed at everyone and kicked them in the back of the head because they couldn't fly too. :)

Unless you go to hell, that is.
Nice poem, it's another perspective. Very good.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Death has never had such a positive image... have you thought about going into P.R?... Great poem... Keep up the good work.

It is an interesting poem.
I never looked at the angel of death that way
good points
i guess people are not afraid of him, they're afraid of death itself
