Smoke fills the room
I see killers and thugs
Mob bosses and goons
Remember this one fact about life
Never trust a female
Cause a female lies
Keep enemys close cuz friends switch sides
When reality gets live
They turn their backs
I ask why?
My lil' homie is gone
He got rocked to sleep
While he was hustlin' on the block
They let off five shots
Now funeral time
Not a single tear
I guess I was kind of happy to still be here
While his death tore me inside
As I hit the road
I called my babygirl, there was no response
I rolled up to the door step but she changed all the locks
The only explanation I got was that she loved me, but I had to stop
I had to play it safe make sure I dont get cased
I got a baby girl to think about and a girl who loves to stay laced
One who was there for me when life got hot
One who kept me safe
From the po-po's rollin' up the block
For what, I ask why?
Now Iam all alone
No place to call my home
And still I wonder why
We live such trife lives
Filled with drama and hate
Paraphanilia sales by weight
Lil' homies dying over green pape
And now the story ends
Keep this in mind my friend
This is life's trial
You either playit safe
Or you get cased

Wow, this was very powerful!
I enjoyed this a lot! A LOT!
Great job!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

I dont know what to say about this one. I hung around with gangs for a long time. And the way you portray them to be isnt what they were. Lots of people do drugs but they arent all gangsta's. You mix druggies in with gangsters. They are two different things. The druggies cant go without the drugs and the gangsters arent all murderers. Other then my OPINION its a really good poem.

P.S.~ALL FEMALES DONT LIE!

I'm sorry that you have to go thru such an event in your life.  Loosing a friend is never easy for anyone.  I do believe that generalizing about certain individuals or groups is not always , and actually most of the time false.  But in the other hand, you did a good job on this piece.

This poem really blew me away.  It made me have to sit back and think.. very nicely done, True.  You expressed yourself so powerfully.  Nice job.
