What do you think of me now?
Now that you know all about me
Does it change what I am to you?
Does it change what you see inside me?

I hate knowing my world could crumble
With the parting of your lips
With a movement of your mouth
There my secrets slip

To the ears of the nearest gossip
Waiting ofr something to spread
Then its all over school
And reality becomes what I dread

Living a lie is more fun
Than telling all my problems to you
I never think you'll believe me
But its all way too true...

This is for my "best friend"...

Ooh... brilliant.  It gave me goosebumps.
I love how descriptive you were in the second stanza of words.  Very well done, this whole poem was quite creative.
Oh and I noticed your reply pattern.  It's great to reply to everyone, I'm glad that you are.     But a word of advice, reply to everyone before you post your own.  That way, you don't bury your own post below all the ones you reply to.
Just do your replies, and leave yours right on top.     That's my tip for the day.

The dedication at the end was what really made this powerful.  you used soem great images and the poem flowed well.  keep posting your work.

You know I've never been in this situation (my friends and family always say I'm too secretive), but I've always feared it. Not really about the gossip at school but instead that their words will hurt me personally. I wish you well with this.

Oh by the way....great poem.

I had a dream once that I could fly and I laughed at everyone and kicked them in the back of the head because they couldn't fly too. :)

This is a great description of what being the gossip round school is like... hang in there... oh and great job on the poem.

This is such a powerful poem.  It hit home.. hard.  I understand what you're saying, and I understand about the fear of secrets being discovered.  Very nice job!

Wonderful tribute to your best friend.
i liked this a lot!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
