The final morning
Red sun climbs tiredly up
Mournful gazing down

The glowing shimmering figure
Appears before the girl, the queen.
The mobs approach, dark and unseen.
"Who is this monster bright?!?! An evil girl!!!"

   The figure shimmering
     "Remember well,"
         Fading,
             "Your destiny,"
                  Gone.

Final whisper
             "I have influence over all...."
                  Silence

"Catch the girl, catch the infidel!"
Trying to run away and home
Unable to escape, captured...
"Join us now, join or die!"

      "I'm your queen!"

"Confess before your government!"

      "I am your queen!"

Face of the inquisitor turns
To the face of the figure bright.
"I hate you, I trusted you!"

    The figure says nothing,
        Final strike of death.

"I hate you, I trusted you!"

    Final gurgling scream of anger.
Death

Inquisitor:  "She was the last link to lands of death"

All cheer, all dance, all sing away the night!

   Mother has a new child,
   City of steal
   City of might
   Man to reel
   Of to the night.

        "I have influence over all...."

And so do you now
Your children await their birth
Our future our christ

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"

-- Magus

The series moves onward, Frac... as each chapter enters my library....
Another marvelous job.  The senryus as headers and footers are cute.

I like the style of this poem.  Its good to use new techniques instead of using only one.  I look forward to more!

Wow wonderful poem. I really liked it as it approached the end. This was really well done.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
