this is to all the young dads who at first didn't know what they are getting into, but later on in life found out what they have to do. this poem don't relate to me, but i will use it as a reminder of what not to do.

All my life, all my joy,
All my wonders for my baby boy,
Where is he? I'm not sure,
But I'll be sure I'll let her know,
I'll find him soon, to hold him again,
To try to be his greatest friend,
All my torments, all my sins,
I'll try to fix them if she let me mend them,
From the start, it's my entire fault,
I should've of loved you with all my heart,
It's a shame, I didn't know,
I lost control and let you both go,
All my memories, all my dreams,
Those things cannot exist without you both here,
I miss you, and I miss our son,
I wish I could hold either one of you,
I'm a fool, why can't I learn,
I cannot have what I did not earn,
So I will try, until I understand,
How to be a father and be your man

Wow.. 0 posts on page 3?  I can't believe that.. this poem was very well written.  Some of the rhymes didn't match up exactly, and that could be something you might want to try and go back over, but other than that this was a nice poem.  Thanks for sharing.. keep posting.

This was quite enlightening. A very different perspective here. I hope none of us become young fathers....good poem

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

i really liked this one.....so i thought to ring it back.....being a young father must e hard, as being a young mother would be.
