Will it ever end,
This war among us?
Countless beings, one all,
And not a one to trus'.

I look on, waiting
For the day, that
A truce will be called,
To stop this senseless combat.

Will it ever end,
The shedding of our blood?
Trenches of war, soaked
Through with sweat, dirt to mud.

I hear the cries, knowing
That it may never end, until
Either side is crushed,
With countless graves to fill.

Will it ever end,
The carnage we're forced to see?
Explosions, cutting through my
Ranks, willing them to flee.

I lead again, one final
Charge that I will not survive.
These men I command, driven to
The slaughter, bravery strive,

Will it ever end?
(hopefully that warning will keep 'em from removing this one like they did Taste My Blade..)

That was soooo good!!!! i loved it! i have been tring to put how i feel down about the same topic and you did it so well!!! i also want to read the one called Test My Blade. if you don't mind could you email it to me?

Well you can thank the Civil War movie "Glory" for this one. We watched part of it today in History class, and the gory battle of Antietam alongside Colonel Shaw's flashbacks of the battle inspired me to write this one. Sure, I'll send Taste My Blade to you in an e-mail, but if you'll check out my website, you can find all my poems there too.

I see no reason this would even need a warning. If anything the warning gives the mods a false alarm and get's them a little edgy even before reading the poem.
Anyhow, very well done.

Well, the poem they pulled from these boards had even less violent content that this, and they sent me an e-mail notifying me it had been pulled due to content. I haven't yet recieved a reply saying what content that was. I figured someone complained, so I'm warning people.

Well I have to say that this one was also good. I'll agree there was no need for a warning, it wasn't graphic at all.

But disclaimers don't do anything if the content is bad, they still get pulled. Sorry bro.
