A shadow fell across my eyes,
Darkness wrought by evil,
I cast my gaze upwards, towards the skies,
And take my sword in hand.

Spawn of hatred, drop and fall
Children of the beast,
Heed my war-like call,
I am the Paladin.

Feel my icy blade,
Cleaving through the rage,
Cutting through your black blockade,
To strike your master down.

Once I was like you,
Tainted with filth,
Leaving in my wake a bloodied dew,
But no longer…

Feel my calm silent blow,
Leaving yet another Darkling dead,
Come at me, come on let’s go,
Hate, Rage, Death, Agony,

No more!
I won’t stand for it,
Another endless door,
Behind which lies another innocent death.

I will end it now!
With my shining blade,
I’ll show you how
I will strike your dark master down.

Heh..thanks for the nice words. I've recently been playing the Japanese version of Final Fantasy 4, and was inspired by the main character, Cecil. I'm planning on doing one about each of the main characters.

Hey, as a fellow follower of the FF series I have to say kudos!  This is a great idea, if I knew that these forums were more RPG oriented, I'd say it would make a fine challenge to choose an FF character and do a poem about him/her.  In fact, I may try it myself!  Watch out, Zeromus!

I've never been one for MUDs. I just could never get into them. I'll stick with my console systems and emulators.

FFIV MUDS?  I'll just pretend that I know what everyone is talking about.

Nice job, Kosetsu.  I enjoyed the read.

Nope, I don't own Everquest, and don't plan on buying it, at least not until I get a bigger harddrive *is down to about 1/8 of his max hard drive space*. This is based off of one of the old Final Fantasy games from the SNES
