THOSE WHO TRY WILL SUCCEED,
THEY'RE ALL WORRIED ABOUT THEY'RE FUTURE INDEED.
GOING TO COLLEGE AND LEARNING MORE,
GET OUT IN THE REAL WORLD AND EXPLORE.
YOU MAY GET TIRED AND YOU MAY WANT TO QUIT,
BUT DON'T BE CHILDISH AND THROW A FIT.
GO TO SCHOOL AND DON'T COMPLAIN,
CAUSE ONE DAY YOU MIGHT FLY A PLANE.
OR BE AN ENGINEER AND MAKE SOME MONEY,
THEN YOU'LL LOOK BACK AND SAY THAT'S FUNNY.....
HOW I DIDN'T CARE OR WANT TO LEARN,
BUT LOOK AT ALL THESE THINGS I EARNED.
I MADE IT NOW BUT IT'S STILL NOT OVER,
I STILL HAVE BILLS BACKED UP TO OCTOBER.
I'LL KEEP MY HEAD HIGH AND LOOK UP AND SAY,
GOD I DIDN'T KNOW IT WOULD BE THIS WAY.
MY CHILDHOOD IS OVER, MY FAMILY DEPARTED,
THIS ISN'T THE END BECAUSE MY LIFE JUST STARTED.

I LOVED THIS! IT WAS A REALLY GREAT POEM. SO MUCH TRUTH PACKED INTO A PRETTY LESSON, AND I DIDNT EVEN HAVETA LEAVE THE COMFORT OF MY OWN HOME. I HOPE TO READ SOME MORE STUFF BY YOU. I HATE CAPS LOCK. Heh, nice job.

I'LL HAVE TO AGREE WITH CARLY THAT THE POEM HAD A LOT OF TRUTH TO IT AND YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF TALENT...
but I'll also agree that all caps make me vomit....

This is a good poem, but the caps being on made it very difficult to read, and gave the poem a different tone.  Avoid that next time.  Thanks for sharing.

Well the caps didn't make me vomit....but hey.....I guess Allan has a weak stomach.

Nicely done here pimpin....the message of the poem is outstanding.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

So long lives this, and this give life to thee." W.S.
