Actions and words.

Sitting by the telephone,
Waiting for a call,
Listening for a reassuring tone,
I’m not going out at all,
I’m hoping for some good news,
I hope she’ll take me back,
Because I’m down and in the blues,
And I’ve been told my heart is black,
I’m sitting here and I can’t wait,
To here that telephone ring,
To rid me of this hate,
So I’ll embrace the joy it will bring,
I’m sitting by the telephone,
I’ve been waiting all this time,
Excuse me if I moan,
But I realise everything isn’t fine.

Freedom is Slavery,
Ignorance is strength" - George Orwell "1984"

Nicely done here. I only found a few spelling errors such as- here (hear), and realise (realize).
Anyhow I thought you did well on this one.

Such a sad poem! I can feel how forlorn you are, sitting and waiting for that call. Thanks for sharing.

Waiting by the phone is never fun...
You described the situation well.

*sniff, sniff* So sad, so sad... I'm sorry that things are the way they are.  I hope they get better   Good job.

I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am.
