I was thinking of you this morning
when mom opened my window
I saw that the sky was bright blue
the sun was shinning in my window
then I said I wonder what dad does all day
does he watch everyone to make sure we're okay?
or is he with his friends that passed away also
does he care that I miss so much,
that sometimes I cry?

After when mom put me in my wheelchar
I sat there and ate my chocolate
you came into my mind again
when I'd eat chocolate
you couldn't get me to eat anything else in the morning
I went on my computer signed on the internet
went into my mail.

You'd always say good morning chocolate lady
I'd smile and say good morning dad
you'd be around the house if I needed you
I'd be sitting on my computer
or sometimes you'd go buy us some doughnuts
I'd love those Lucy even did.

Sometimes I cry because I miss all those memories
I want to call heaven and ask for Mikko Talviharju
I'd like to know what you do in heaven
I'd like to know alot of things about you
like how look but for one thing I know your happy.

All my friends remember you
your always in my heart
when I'm having a bad day
you remind me that your in my heart
then my days start out bright with the sun.

Love Always
Minna

Minna, this is just beautiful. It's so nice that you are able to remember your father like this and to recall his actions and little habits. The chocolate lady line made me smile. Wouldn't it be great if everyone thought about their father in this light?

Thankyou for such a lovely read. It shall be treasured in my library.

This is a lovely poem. A little box of memories...very well written, and I also think it is graet that you can remember your dad like this...cause in our hearts are the footprints they made, and as long as we're their memories will never fade.

Memories is important! Keep on the good writing.

This is a beautiful piece. Your father will always be alive through these memories you hold of him. Thanks for sharing.

This is so beautiful. Memories are wonderful things... nothing will ever be forgotten if you hold on to them. Thanks for sharing... Great poem.

I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am.

Nicely done Minna! Yet another beautiful tribute to your father.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
