I pretend I dont care
I let them sit and stare
They can't just let it be
They have to pretend they care about me
They think they are the perfect friend
But they will find out in the end...

No one realy sees how
I feel about it now
How can I expain
A lifetime of tears and pain
To someone I just met
To someone I barely know yet

I just need a friend that won't run away
Someone I know is here to stay
Thats one of the things I cant seem to find
And it makes me feel like I am loosing my mind
Why cant I just be happy for once
Just forget the bad times
Or remember the good ones...

Things are never what they seem
You dont know how badly I want to scream
I know I must hold it all inside
But you wouldnt know, because I've lied
Im hoping that it isnt real
So I dont tell you how I feel
Its all one big nightmare to me
But it seems so real, I know it must be

I do not really wish my life were perfect
I just wish people would treat me with respect
Instead of everyone ruining my life
Making me want to reach for a knife
But I dont, because I know running away
Will not work, I just have to stay
And face this world, standing strong
Even if I dont belong...

You are right, running away never solves anything, but keeping it inside also doesn't help, but through poetry you can express any and every emotion, without really admitting it...ain't that great!

You have a talent, very nice poem, keep it up, and remember, here in passions are a bunch of ears always ready to listen

I can really feel the pain that you put into this piece. You're right, reaching for the knife won't solve a thing. People will come around, though, and you will only become stronger as you get older. Things aren't so bleak, my friend! If you need to talk, feel free to e-mail me.

Nicely done! Reaching for the knife is weak, you have to be alive and stand your ground. Keep that head up and keep going on your way......you can do it.

Great poem. If you need to talk to someone who knows what you're going through(or at least thinks they do) drop me an email. I understand where you're comin' from and I have been there.Don't give up,charge forward and fight back,in a nice way.

Reaching for a knife isn't worth it. In the end, the strength you have through this situation is... I really hope things get better for you.
Great poem. Thank you for the good read.
Just remember to stay strong.

I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am.

I thought it was very good, especially the ending.
Reaching for the knife can be important, for it gives you a sense of how close it really is... but how heavy it is to lift.
And it really isn't worth it.

What a wonderful post. Full of emotion and pain. Never end your life trying to fix a problem. You are only giving them what they want. Fight hard, stay strong. Good luck and we're always here to listen.

It's nice to see that you know what you have to do.  I'm proud of you.  If you need anyone to talk to, just email me.  it doesnt hurt to show your deepest feelings to someone on the net

I know sometimes you think that I don't know what it's like. No matter how many times I try to tell you, you just can't seem to get it through your head. I have tried many times to be here for you. You are strong and you will always carry on. You have been through alot of things in your life and I know that. We all have been through alot. And you can't describe a lifetime of pain but you can just be content with knowing that people understand. I do understand. But you have never given me the chance.....
