Note: this is about a town that I made up…I’m not trying to be stupid about it or anything. I am currently writing a series abouta small town in Texas. I plan on writing a series of poems as well…I personally like how far I’ve come with this project so far…lemme know whatcha think

They took me away from home
And moved me to a town
1500 miles away from everyone
That I’ve ever known in my life
We just got here this morning
And I hate it here already
I wanna go home . . .
I wanna see Michael . . .
I wanna go back to my school
School starts in 3 days . . .
I’m scared . . .
What if they don’t like me?
I miss Meleena already
I have a cousin here
But she’s just not Meleena . . .

for the full story its on my website... www.angelfire.com/wv2/poetrycorner

i dont know if i should cry because its over, or smile because it happened

Wow, that hurts! Even though it's fiction, you have such talent as a writer that it still conveys emotion fairly well. I like it.

Interesting.... series are fun, are they not?
It's neat to see so many members doing such a thing. And mine's almost done too!
This was pretty good... although it didn't really tell much more than you moved away and you miss your friend.
Still, it's a series so I'll have to wait for the next installment.

Hope to see so much more!

Hey! I came from a small town in Texas! Has anyone ever heard of Friendswood? I also had a friend there named Michael. This is so freaking spooky. I'm gonna havta read your series now. Despite the personal connections, this is a very clear and excellent poem.

"The woods are lovely, dark, and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep"
