Sometimes I wish really hard
Just to tell you the truth about me.
Just maybe let down my guard
To let you in, to make a friend.

My wishes, my dreams, fade away.
Reality sets in, true once more.
I silently cry for help, and the
Tears again hit the floor.

-- Linc

I must warn you this is not close to my best work. I wrote this at 12am becuse I had a 12 page paper to write and was board and lonely at the time. My trust me I know the punctuation is horrid but hey its 12am so I really don't care. I have to get some sleep so until my next poem ( Hey thats the first time I said that) cya soon.

"Once you reach your original goal it seems that the journey was your real accomplishment."

Welcome to Passions! I'm so glad that you decided to join our "Family of Friends"!

This is a wonderful first post. It is always hard to open up to a new person and allow them to be your friend. You describe the situation well. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work!

First of all, I'd like to say it's admirable of you to have been in here awhile replying to poems before posting your own first. It shows you have a great deal of patience, and that is a good virtue.
The poem wasn't too bad, but I could see how you could have done better. It's tough to be magnificent in such a small space, without using Senryu/Haiku or Tanka, or course.
Welcome to Passions, although you have been here awhile already. I hope to see more of you.

This is a really good poem. I loved it... I really like your style. *click* into my favorites. Very nicely done.

I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am.

Yea, Allan noticed what I noticed while reading the poem. You had a few replies before you even posted your own poem. Most people don't do that, God knows I didn't. Anyhow, I thought the poem was just fine. It didn't seem like one of those I'm-too-tired-to-care-how-the-poem-comes-out kind of poem. I liked it. Very well done and I hope to read more of you!

I like it! As much as I like short poems a lot of times, I hardly EVEr write them, I'm more of a realist to apply an artist term. I want to explain things and have them visual (usually). But great work!

If I haven't already said this...............

Welcome to Passions!!!!!!!!

even though you've been here for a while, I just thought I'd say that. Plus, this is a great poem. It's the truth for most people. I'm hyper right now. See, that's what a mountain dew and a gigantic pixi stick will do to ya! N e ways, untill your next poem,

Er..sorry I thought I replied to this.

WELCOME TO PASSIONS!!!!

Booya! Go that sugar. Now on a serious note (ha!) a nice little entry into passions. Your last two lines really stuck in my mind. I await more pieces.
