I wish I knew where I was...

0 posted 2001-03-14 03:32 PM

I originally wasnt going to stay, but someone among us convinced me, so here I am...

I feel like my life is changing too much
I dont know who I am anymore
But the things that torment me stay clear
While the things I love slip through cracks in the floor.

I wish I could find a place
To sit and sort out my mind
Where nobody else is around to listen
Where I may discover I dont have to live blind

Where I can learn to love all things again
To ignore the pain and tears
Where I can regain my strength and will
To forget the painful years

In hopes of finding it in my heart
To forgive those who have hurt me
But can it, will it possibly happen
Or will I forever be...

Stuck in a world of hurt
Can I find a way to be free
Or is this the only world I can live in
And the only person I can be...

*Me*

Maybe it's not a way of being free from the world, but your perception of it. Quite a negative poem, you're full of hopelessness within it. It seemed to me like you just needed to find a way to live happily, but couldn't find one after a few attempts. Don't give up......your chance will come again.
Nice poem! I really thought it was quite good!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

Ohhh! I LOVE IT!! :-) :-) :-) Especially the third and 5th stanzas!! They rule! But in all seriousness, I hope things turn out ok, and that you find that place of peace of mind. Fantastic poem though

Oh good, all the people decided to stay. *celebrates*

This was really depressing. Find that spot and make sure you sort everything out.

I hope this situation becomes rosy for you.

Good job, Carly... I like this one. I think this is one of the best I've read from you. Great job!

I never thought that you would ever be the one to let me down. I guess that just goes to show how wrong I always am.
