I don't know what it is with me and 12 stanza's but things tend to turn out that way a lot! I wrote this because I sit in lunch and sometimes act like I'm talking to little people on my shoulders, and some people get REALLY freaked out by it, especially devout christians! MWAHAHA

Anger take me
I forsake thee
Quiet voices
Bring me safety

Anger breeds
Planting seeds
Of the voices
As they feed

In my soul
There is a hole
Filled by voices
As they control

Voices surrounding
Always resounding
You’d think it’d be
Quite confounding

As they guide
I never hide
They help me see
My true side

Tell me what to say
How to live day to day
They guide me always
And hold much sway

Tell me who I am
And about my fellow man
What to do about
The people I can’t stand

The secrets of mankind
The voices seem to find
The taste more bitter
Than a melon rind

They do not lie
They’d make you cry
And laugh as
You fall from the sky

I must be secure
If I am to endure
More voices I guess
I’ll have to procure

Infinite voices
Plenty of choices
Take your pic
They’re all Rolls Royces

The voices do comprise
Much to my surprise
The joy of all my life
And my ultimate demise

"Some men see things as they are and say why.
I dream things that never were and say why not." ~RFK

You talk to people on yer shoulder? Dude I do it too, but they aren't on my shoulder.....in fact they aren't even people. They are gnomes......uhhhh...anyway
Nicely done here, you and yer 12 verses. I think you did quite well on this one. The ryhme was wonderful and I really just liked the whole thing. Well done!

Everyone talks to themselves
or talks to a imaginary friend(s)
it's a normal thing i guess
you did a good job with your poem
the 12 stanzas don't bother me
thanks for the share
