(it's been awhile since I posted out of this series, and it was because I was missing "the war." I just wrote it now, so here I resume installments in the series. Here is #3. Enjoy!)

"The War"

step heavy, soldier
as villians observe
walking, no longer,
advancing to serve

step heavy, soldier
ignoring the past
draw your katana
gain freedom at last

swing heavy, soldier
attack at its heart
press to the tissue
and shred it apart

rest, weary soldier
you've already won
where was your army?
you'd always had none.

die, weary traitor
you'd not had a cause
sheathe your katana
and fight with your claws

run, weary soldier
away from the strife
recover your army
recover your life

clean your katana,
your dead weight to haul
rainclouds are forming
and rain forgives all

I liked the ending. I like the fact that rain forgives all. In fact, I think that was GENIUS.
"rain forgives all".....wow
You know.......I think that from this point on.......from here on out and forever in my life (and i'm not playing either) I'll view rain as a form of forgiveness or closure.
Nicely done here Allan.

Well how do I top that eh? Sheesh. Well Allan, Carly's mind really liked this one. The rain dillio definitely kicked your rating on the coolness scale up a notch. Nice nice, very very nice.

Allan:

I loved the transitions in this piece. I think this is the best one of the series that I've read thus far.

"If history is to change, let it change. If the world is to be destroyed, so be it. If my fate is to die, I must simply laugh"

This poem is excellent Allan. Excellent.

"Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while you might miss it."
