I really had this dream a few days ago, and wrote this that morning. Days before this, I met probably the most perfect person I've ever met! enjoy!

In my dream last night
I was in a different land
A land of sword and magic
Guided by the hand

We fought many battles
We somehow always won
Despite the organized armies
To our farmer’s sons

We did not have magic
And lived with stolen supplies
And our mage couldn’t even
Conjure up dragonflies

We had sensibility
And never missed:
Once took a mans lips
With a whip, as he kissed

We were harsh even cruel
But we fought for a better life
So to make it easier for us to win later
The survivors took our strife

I was not the leader
But I killed many men
So the first chance they got
The Empire let me into their den

It was a messenger mission
But the King’s son had plans
I knew it, so I killed him anyway
Knowing I’d never again see the clans

I was captured as I left
And put in a cell for the night
I couldn’t try to escape
I couldn’t win this fight

I was brought out at noon
And put in shackles
There was a parade for me
With no bitter cackles

I was a hero to them all
But I don’t know how
I asked for a bolder walk
And they did, on the now

We walked with everyone seeing
Though I don’t know why
Then it hit me
And I started to cry

I had spent my life worrying
Always future within view
Now I was being put to death
Nothing to look forward to

Nothing to worry about
That is happiness true
Now that I know who you are
I’ve found that happiness in you

I dream things that never were and say why not." ~RFK

Wow I thought that this was great. The little story was great! It drew me in and kept me interested throughout the whole poem.
Great job!

This is great, as dopey says it really draws you in, and I didn't realise how long it was until I actually read it again... great work

Yeah, storytelling format rules!
You did an excellent job here. Dreams are fun to communicate, but we often feel like we are stealing the idea, even though it came from our own brain.
Excellent work, Bryan.

Wow, what a beautiful message. Although a few lines didnt really rhyme well together... but there was such imagery and deepness, I loved it a lot!!! Library bound!
