I used to be your baby, Daddy
And you, my hero tall
You'd never yell or hurt me, Daddy
Just helped me o'er the wall
When I fell and scraped my knees, Daddy
You smiled and cleaned the blood
And dancing in the rain, my Daddy
We loved the splashing mud
I grew a little stronger, Daddy
I danced, now on my own
Too fixed upon the nothing, Daddy
To see the wrinkles sewn
Can't go and change the past, oh Daddy,
I'm crying deep inside
Pretend the spot's not cancer, Daddy
For you, I'm forced to hide
My turn to pull you over, Daddy
This wall that's seen before
Be tough, and trust my strength, sweet Daddy
I'm here to fight the war.

Oh that's so sad. I recently found out that one of my good friends has cancer. It pains me to know he'll be gone before I can see his kids graduate. Ughh, I'm sorry, I can't really type more, but I hope things go ok

that was really sorrowful. I liked it a lot tho, it really portrayed the story and your feelings very well!

I thought that this was completely sad. Wonderful job though Carly. It was an amazing poem here. I simply loved it.
If you'd like to talk about this, then let's!

This was indeed a sad one. My heart is with you Carly. Perhaps I can offer some inspiration. One of my good friends was diagnosed with cancer his junior year in HS and became very sick and very week. But after months of rest and treatment he was on the road to recovery and we were playing baseball together again our senior year. Today he has completely rid himself of cancer and has a full life to look forward to. He was very fortunate and I cry every time I think about what could have happened, but I hope that you will be able to tell a beautiful story like this one day. Again, my heart goes out to you and I wish you and your family the very best
Stay strong
Jason
