~i was on a bus on a school field trip, when i noticed a classmate of mine staring at me when i wasn't looking in her direction... i've always been known to try and figure out what someone else's mind is going through... this is what i thought she was thinking/what i sometimes feel as well

You see a classmate ahead of you on the bus
She's quite the different one
You wonder what it would be like if,
She knew you existed
You wonder if she even knows your name

You can't help but stare at her soul
Because it's like a hand reaching out for help
You want to be her friend
Because you know she's different

You know that if you two were friends
You would be the best of
But you also know you'd be the best of one
Because she's never had one

The bus stops and you both step off at the same time
She stops and lets you go
You nod
And she calls your name saying,
"See you later"

She makes your day
Because you know she knows your name
And it's the beginning of a true friendship
THe one you'll cherish forever
Just because you were soul searching
And her soul just happened to be waiting

A powerful and hopeful piece here. Made me a little sad, because I can relate to being so alone very well...especially on the bus...but anyways, a wonderful, heartfelt piece here. I only wish that there were more people out there like you.

wow that was very sincere and sweet. I always think that interacting with a broad array of people is such a good thing to do, as I guess you do too. Very good poem, so so clear!

wow wow wow
i really felt that
i love this poem
what truth and what a realization
i'm glad you're giving her the chance though she seems to be different from the rest
things like that shouldn't matter at all
you have a beautiful heart

I agree with Dopey and acire. They pretty much said it all.

I wish people would stop telling me that I can do anything I want to. I never thought that I couldn't.
