In an upside-down garden

Forget all I've told you,
forget whatI've said.
Forget the thoughts that haunt you,
that live inside your head.
Leave it all behind you,
just try to walk away.
You can't leave it completely,
it'll haunt you every day.
Forget all that's been said,
all those lies that have been told.
Forget the false promises,
and the stories of growing old.
Just crash and burn,
beneath what sheilds your soul,
crash and burn and fall,
just do what you've been told.
Forget all the mistakes,
all that hurts inside.
Forget all the loveliness,
all that causes you to hide.
Leave it all to wither,
just turn and leave it now,
it'll always be a part of you,
you'll remember somehow.
Forget all the hatered,
let the love back into your life.
Forget all the turmoil,
leave behind all of the strife.
Just crash and burn forever,
just let yourself not care,
and I'll hold on forever,
I'll always be there.

I wish people would stop telling me that I can do anything I want to. I never thought that I couldn't.

I like this...we all need someone who will hold us when we crash and burn. Wonder who this could be for?

Great poem... I thought the repeition in the poem was added nicely. It's a really strong poem I'm adding to my library.

I really really liked that. The first time I sort of just skimmed through it, but then I read it again. I'm very impressed, as usual.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I admire it daily

IT's always comforting to read something that portrays the exact way your feeling, especially when you cant quite find the words. This poem was beautiful, keep up the good work.
