Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

I once heard,
long ago,
to live your life,
to take it slow.
To treat your neighbors,
as thyself,
to not store your dreams on a clutterd shelf.

I once heard,
long ago,
to love your life,
to take it slow.
To love your family,
before thyself,
to know that they put you first before all else.

I once heard,
long ago,
to cherish your life,
to take it slow.
To cherish your firends,
before your material things,
to know that they may not always be there;
depending on what tomorrow brings.

I once heard,
long ago,
to know who you are,
don't be here just for show.
To take each day,
as it comes,
to know that there's no place to run.

An open hand,
a caring hug,
a loving friend,
from up above.

Remember who you are,
know what you may be.
Always remember,
your family.
Trust your neighbor,
as you would thyself.
Never clutter a tiny shelf.
Spread your dreams,
as an open book.
Take a good look at the world,
from a different look.

It seems like the people you heard these things from a pretty smart. Most of the stuff you present in the poem, are pretty much true. Good poem.

Ooh... very nice. I like it even more than your other one.
This was amazing. Keep up with it.
I'll keep reading.

Nicely done here on this one. You really write well!
