"Witch!" They cried as the guards led me through the crowded streets.
"Die Satan's Harlot!" called out the women who watched as I was led to Gallows Hill... to my death.
I'm not a witch.. or am I?
It started very simply and innocently.
I met a kind old toothless spinster lady who taught me how to use herbs for cooking and to make the linens smell sweet.
Then she had asked me to join her in the fields to learn what it really meant to be a woman.
I don't remember that night. I just remember the next day when people started whispering and calling me a witch as I passed by.
I couldn't escape the accusations.
All too soon came the trial. There was no way I would be found innocent. The verdict came- Guilty and sentenced to death.
Now I stand on the gallows. The man in black waiting for the signal. I looked up into the sky and I was no longer afraid to die........

Chilling.....very chilling.

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily
