As I grow older…I realize…

I’ve come too late
To a world too soon
Where love has fallen
And hate has overwhelmed

Floor sheeted by dying souls
And feelings remain unknown
Twitching
Bleeding
Aching
Crying
Screaming
Falling
And vicious cycle
No antidote exists
People killing others
Fallen and broken bodies
Upon the floor
My heart breaks for the souls
The one I lay here with
I remember
Before
A world of pain
Where none was before
Demons within
Haunt the world
Leaving an abyss
Of betrayal
Deceit
Love
Lust
Hunger
And death…
All the makings
Of what lies within

Sometimes this world is just one, big, messy place to be. I have faith that the good will come and hopefully shed some light in the grey.
Nice poem.

The world can be an awful place sometimes, can't it?  The good thing is that there is also a lot of good in it.  Strong, powerful words here, I really liked this.  You're very talented!

This poem was extremely negative. I loved it though. I thought it tocked because I agree with a lot of what's going on in yer poem. These times seem to be horrible in the world. All this chaos.....nice one here.

I do agree with Alwye
Sometimes, we just take the good for granted
that's why we don't see it and just notice the bad
seems like it's only the bad that opens our eyes to reality
great words/thoughts Jess
nice to see you again
don't leave us again

I understand what ur sayin here.  Growing up in a military family and having lived in some larger cities i've seen the decay of society first hand, and it really is a waste.  But i think it goes beyond taking for granted...but the future always holds a happier day,  excellent piece, i connected to/understood everything you said
