War Preordained

There are times of peace where all is good,
War nonexistent, people act as they should.
And among these acts, people share with compassion;
Lend all that they have; are diplomatic in action.

Yet all human nature gives way to greed,
And advantage is taken over people in need.
Betrayal begins, and so treachery commences;
Crimes are commited; justice comes to quench it.

Rebellions arise, commotion and mutiny break out;
Countries make claims, such to leave divinity in doubt.
Bomb threats and sanctions, political speeches to bore-
And before anyone knows it, they're fighting a war.

So with every outbreak of peace, a war is subsequent;
No amity exists without conflict to show for it.
Violence is imminent, the truth hard to swallow,
Yet silver lining subsists!  With every war...peace will follow.

Nice one here!

I like the way you said "Outbreak of Peace."  Made it seem like peace is some kind of positive plague for the people.  (argh, too many P's)
Nice poem, Virgil.  Keep 'em coming.

Yes, this does have great form, and I agree with what it says too.  I'm really impressed by this one, wonderful job
